STAMPS PICTURING
THE NEWFOUNDLAND DOG
RUSSIAN FEDERATED REPUBLICS
The
legitimacy of these Russian Local stamps and overprints is open to debate.
Most of them can only be described
as
pretty labels. Most of them were printed
either in England or Lithuania. They are not recognized as valid for postage
by the Universal Postal Union. Collectors should be wary.
The overprints were applied to obsolete stamps from the former Soviet Union

The sheet exists both with and without a hologram
overprint of the Boy Scout's emblem. The overprint
exists in both gold and silver color.
